Fiddler’s Heart is a new addition to my series, where I’ve combined the timeless technique of charcoal with the vibrancy of colour. This piece captures the soul and spirit of a female fiddle player, inspired by the lively trad sessions in Gweedore, County Donegal.

The addition of colour brings a new depth to the work, highlighting the energy and emotion of the performance. While the charcoal retains the depth and texture of the original, the colours now infuse the piece with warmth and movement, creating a more dynamic portrayal of the musician at the heart of a session.
