Music has a way of connecting us to the soul of a place, and Cormac’s Jig is inspired by the incredible flute players who bring Irish traditional tunes to life in Belfast and beyond. Part of my flute series, this charcoal drawing captures the rhythm, flow, and artistry of a musician lost in their craft.

Charcoal felt like the perfect medium to highlight the energy and movement of a jig, with every stroke echoing the lively spirit of trad sessions. It’s a celebration of the talent, passion, and tradition passed down through generations of Irish musicians.
